Friday Funny

My Trip to the Vet....Twice
Well it was bound to happen, mom found a hot spot on me...
She said I had to go to the vets to get it shaved and cleaned up...it was going to be really quick.
Nooooooo!!!! I tried to protest but off to the vets I went.
After a quick shave, the vet sent me home with some medicine to make sure there is no infection. Thirty minutes after taking it, I woke mom up.
I just didn't feel right....mom turned the lights on and a whole bunch of HBO words flew outta her mouth.
That's right, I blew up like a blowfish! After making sure I was breathing alright, being the typical blogger, mom grabs the camera.
Really?!?!?!
Of course by this time the vets have closed and the nearest ER is 40 minutes away. So before I know it I had benadryl shoved down my throat and I was off on my 2nd trip to the vets!!!
Here I am with dad after my first shot of benadryl.
And here I am planning my escape after feeling much better!
This place ain't so bad after all!!!
Meanwhile....
Maggie waited up for me til the wee hours of the morning. Actually, I think she was just wondering why she didn't get to go for a ride! BOL!
Today, I'm exhausted! Mom kept waking me up during the night to make sure I was ok.
She slept with a tiny flashlight under her pillow, guess it's better than that damn camera!
The one lesson I have learned through this whole ordeal:
There is no such thing as just a "quick trip to the vet".
And yes, I'll be milking this for allllll it's worth!

Our Dog's Strange Addiction
You've seen the show, right....My Strange Addiction?! The tv series about people who have unusual addictions to drinking nail polish, eating cat food, sniffing moth balls, etc. Totally gross right?!
Well, I live with a real life addict....
That's right, my sister Maggie....this is her guilty face after she has fulfilled her addiction.
Addiction to what, you ask?
Tissues, but not just any tissues.....USED TISSUES!!!!
I know, I know go ahead and say it....
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here she is in action, she has this down to a science and thinks she has us all fooled!

Dogs Bid Farewell to Their Beloved Fish
This weekend we said our last goodbyes to our slimy friends, Fric and Frac.
Although they were only with us a few short months, they will be sadly missed...

We were recently given the opportunity by Flexi USA to review and giveaway a Flexi retractable leash.
Now when mom hears the words "retractable leash", she gasps!
We had a terrible encounter on one of our walks last summer with a person using a retractable leash on their tiny chihuahua. As we were approaching them, mom moved us over to the other side of the street but the person thought it would be a cute idea to let her chihuahua walk all the way over to us. Needless to say, we "mistook" the tiny chihuahua for a squirrel, got a little too excited, and mom tripped over the leashes and bit the dust.

The Dog House That Once Was...
Today I thought I'd share with you the history of the dog house.
You know, the dog house that Dad built for me when I was just a pup.
Now if MTV had a show "Cribs for Dogs" this house would surely be featured!
From the top grade insulation to keep me warm in the winter and cool in the summer, to the air vents, to the stylish linoleum flooring and lets not forget about that sturdy roof and ever so helpful solar light. He has such high hopes for this house, perhaps a little front porch or even a sign with my name on it.
What dog wouldn't be happy with all those things???

Winter after winter....
It just sat there, no chance of ever be occupied.
Well, one day dad decided that he was going to sell it. So we took one last picture...
And within a couple of weeks it was sold. Off it went to it's new owners, only to be occupied by....
a bunch of clucking chickens!!!

Almost Spring Clean Up
Monday's are ruff, don't ya think?!
This weekend we worked our paws to the bone.
Kinda.
We had really good intentions on helping with the yard work.
Kinda sorta.
But Maggie found herself a ginormous chewie and I......
waited ever so patiently for Chippy to return....
We still have a couple weeks before the official start of Spring.....we will clean up then!
Really.
p.s.
She actually thought she was going to get past mom with that chewie! BOL!
Better find some Petco coupons and replace the ginormous chewy.
