About the Nordic Pet Collection:

● Pet Cod Liver Oil, a Norwegian Classic, is derived exclusively from wild Arctic cod (Skrei), sustainably caught from the Norwegian Sea off the Lofoten Islands near Bodø, Norway, and is an excellent source of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, plus naturally occurring vitamin A. Available in 8 and 16 oz bottles for highest potency and purity.

● Omega-3 Pet is derived from wild anchovies and sardines, sustainably caught from the South Pacific Ocean off the coast of Peru, and is also an excellent source of EPA and DHA. Available in

Nordic Naturals Pet Collection offers unsurpassed quality due to several key features: unparalled freshness through 100% oxygen-free manufacturing; exceptional purity through our proprietary distillation process; triglyceride form to ensure optimal absorption; and excellence in sustainable sourcing. All Nordic Naturals products for dogs and cats adhere to the pet product standards as required by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Center of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), a division of the FDA, and the American Association of Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). Like all Nordic Naturals products, our Nordic Pet Collection is always backed by third-party testing to guarantee leading freshness and purity levels. Certificates of analysis are available upon request.

What are the important health benefits of fish-derived omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, in dogs and cats?

One of the key functions of the omega-3 fatty acid EPA is supporting the body’s natural anti-inflammatory response. Dogs and cats can suffer from numerous inflammatory conditions that can affect their health and well-being. Studies have shown supplementation of omega-3 fatty acids from fish supports dogs and cats with inflammatory conditions associated with the skin, joints, kidneys, and heart. In addition, EPA promotes healthy triglyceride (fat) levels within the blood of dogs. In puppies and kittens, the omega-3 fatty acid DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) plays a key role in neurological (brain) and retinal (eye) development. Studies have shown that feeding pregnant dogs omega-3 fatty acid-enriched foods during gestation and lactation provides needed DHA to their puppies. Puppies that are weaned onto foods with DHA have improved electroretinographic responses (a measurement of the electrical response of the retina in the eye to light stimulation), and improved responses to training tests. Human studies have shown that omega-3 fatty acids may be beneficial in maintaining normal cognitive function later in life. Finally, essential fatty acid supplementation is known to maintain general skin and coat quality in dogs and cats. Human studies have also shown that omega-3 fatty acid supplementation supports weight loss. Consult your veterinarian to evaluate the total amount of omega-3 fatty acids your dog/puppy or cat/kitten should receive daily based on species, age, activity level, diet, life stage (growth/ reproduction and adult), and health condition of your pet.

Our thoughts:

We received our bottle of Pet Cod Liver several weeks ago. When the nice man in the brown truck delivered it, we couldn't keep our noses off the box, it smelled SO good!

You can add the appropriate amount, in our case it was 1 teaspoon, to your pets food or give it to them directly. Once mom opened the bottle we just couldn't wait to get ourselves a lick. So mom gave us a teaspoon full and it was delicious!!! I think we licked our lips for a good 10 minutes!

After a few weeks, Mom has noticed that my golden coat is looking nice and shiny and my itching has decreased quite a bit. Although we haven't seen the affects it has had on Maggie's joints, we are hopeful this will help with her inflammation.

Mom says she wishes the bottle came with a measured dropper to make it a little easier giving it to us directly but other than that we are giving this product a PAWS UP!!!

My Reward

Meet Squirrly....he's my reward for wearing the bunny ears. Take a good look at him because in a matter of minutes, hours or perhaps days he will be demolished and unrecognizable.

Maggie was rewarded as well, knotted ropes are her passion....silly dog.

She doesn't know what she's missing and I'm perfectly fine with that!

Happy Easter!!

Yeah, maybe happy for the humans but not for us pups!

We knew the bunny ears were coming out, it was just a matter of time.

We are just going to sit here and humor mom....it's the only way out!

At least these ears don't have to be cleaned!

No one said being cute was easy....

Eggsellent Supervisors

Maggie and I have resumed the position of supervising the egg coloring this year...

I made sure to sniff out each and every egg...

and Maggie tried to go in for a lick or two

Mom saw me eying the basket and put an end to it all.

Geesh, we were just trying to do a little quality control!

Sisterly Love

Bet you thought I was talking about Maggie and I...

Nope. We each have our own "other" sister. I'm sure you've heard me mention them before. Mom always says we are two peas from the same pod.

This is my sister, Kailey....

I own her, but I let her think that she owns me, it works out quite well! We make a perfect pair, she will be an official teenager very soon and I (according to mom) act like a typical teenager.

This is Maggie with her sister, Jordyn....

Talk about double trouble! They both have the gift to gab and neither of them can ever be trusted! BOL!

Put us all together....

...and I think we make one balanced and perfect pack!

Milking the Weekend

Well, I did what I said I was going to do this weekend.

I milked it and boy did I milk it good!

In case you didn't know what that looked like...

This is my best "milking it" face (wink, wink)

Hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as I did!!!
