Waiting for Mom

It's been 5 whole days since we've seen mom and Kailey. I begged her to pack me in her suitcase but she totally ignored my request.

When dad would talk to her on the phone, I would put my head on his chest and listen to her voice.

Here's a little video of Maggie and I waiting and waiting for mom to get home.



She didn't get home until late at night but she said I had the biggest golden smile on my face and Maggie couldn't stop wiggling her big lab butt!

Maggie and I are trying to establish the 1 Day Rule in our house.

Humans are not allowed to leave their furry companions for more than 1 day!

I think that's very reasonable!!!

When it comes to thunderstorms my family is split down the middle.

Mom, Jordyn and Maggie don't care for storms at all and would prefer to hide down in the basement.

Dad, Kailey and I would much rather have a front row seat!

Last night we had a pretty strong storm but mom braved it out and took a video of Maggie and I.

A Trip Without Me

Yup, you read that right.

Mom and Kailey are going on a trip WITHOUT me!!!!

Where's the "no dogs left behind" police when you need them???

On the bright side, we'll be staying home with Dad and Jordyn and not in the dreaded kennel.

Although it's a little harder getting away with things with Dad than it is with Mom, she is such a softy. We will first start with the bed, I will have to keep Mom's side warm - I know Dad will appreciate that!

I REALLY hope they bring us home something really cool.

A Splendid Saturday

Can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday but to relax in the shade with Maggie and Kailey while mom and dad do all the yard work.

New Pup on the Block

We have some very exciting news to share with our bloggie furiends!!!

We have a cousin, he is a Yorkie and his name is Parker!!!

Although Maggie and I haven't actually met him yet, mom, dad and the girls have and they think he's just the sweetest thing. 

Parker and his mom have started a dog blog called Parker Chronicles

So if you have a minute stop on over and say hello to Parker and his mom!!!

Love Handles Suck

Much to my surprise, my eagerly anticipated car ride last night ended up at the dreaded vets. 

Ummm, what are we doing here??? 

I feel fine, my ears are clean, my coat is shiny and my breath and teeth are pristine! I am the epitome of health! 

A checkup? There is nothing else I can think of that needs checking....until the vet coaxed me up on the damn scale. 

Holy Wowza!!! 

Ok so I gained "several" pounds and the two things that dad thought were my hips were actually love handles!!!

How humiliating!!!! 

All I could do was hide behind moms leg as the vet lectured mom and dad about properly measuring my food. 

I am officially on a diet and it officially sucks!!! If they had a weight watchers for dogs I'd probably be on it, that's how anal mom is about my portions now. 

On the bright side, we will be taking many more walks - longer walks and I will be milking them for all they are worth! 

p.s. mom did this blog post on her smartphone so if it looks lousy forgive me and blame her!
